Down Syndrome and Divorce
One of the many "fun facts" that the doctors shared with us upon telling us that Brennan had Down syndrome was that parents of kids with special needs have a higher divorce rate than the general public. I didn't put much faith or thought into this statement - but Eric was really bothered by it. So, he did his own research and found that parents of kids with Down syndrome actually have a lower divorce rate than the general public. Interesting, isn't it?

I like that statistic!!! How could a child that brings so much joy...cause a higher divorce rate???
Silly doctors! They need to get their facts right.
Isn't that awesome! It's one of the first things I researched, too. And, great outcomes for sibs, too!
Good job doing your research! Perhaps you should create an "updated" fun fact list and send it to your doctor.
That's so awesome! I told my husband that there was something wrong with us because we are too happy!
I like that statistic!
